We are growing echium in the Demonstration Gardens to see if it will grow in containers - it gets HUGE (up to 10 feet tall and 30 feet wide!). It attracts tons of hummingbirds, bumblebees and butterflies, like the swallow tail that flourishes on Market Street. Wouldn't it be wonderful if echium could be grown aside our major streets?
